Course Selections 2026 2027

Course selections for next year are now live! Students are now able to submit their choices.

This process is extremely important to ensure students are able to get into the courses of their choice. All students have participated in their grade assemblies to receive information about selecting courses for next year. From Feb 12 to Feb 20 all students will be called down to the library to complete this process and obtain support with the process. A member of the guidance department will be there to support.

A reminder that all students must submit their choices no later than Friday February 20 at 4:00 pm.

Students’ next opportunity to make changes to their timetables will be in August.

Celebrating STEM with YRDSB

Join us for an inspiring evening that will include:

A shared dinner and community gathering to open the evening
Hands-on STEM and STEAM learning experiences connected to Black innovators and scientists
Interactive coding activities facilitated by Black women engineering students from Ontario Tech University

Student Services

Welcome to the new semester! As we transition into Semester 2, please note that some students may be assigned a new Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT). If your student’s SERT has changed, they will reach out to introduce themselves within the first two weeks.

Our team is currently focusing on course selections and special education placements for the Fall 2026 academic year. Please keep the following in mind:

• GLE Selection: Note that special education placement is contingent upon the selection of the Learning Strategies (GLE) course.

• Documentation: Please watch for Continuation Letters or Letters of Invitation to confirm placements for the upcoming school year.

If you have any questions, please contact your student’s assigned SERT directly. We look forward to a successful and collaborative semester ahead.
