International Study Tour 2027

Are you interested in your student(s) participating in an International study tour?  The SDHS History Department is planning a trip to Central Europe for March 11-20, 2027.  We will be visiting Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow and Prague.  A student information session will be held at lunch on Tuesday, June 9th, where students will be provided with the planned itinerary, information about cost and payment plans, and access to check out the tour company that we will be traveling with. We will follow up with a parent/guardian interest meeting the following week on Monday, June 15th at 6pm in our school library.  If you have any questions, please email Lisa Colthart at lisa.colthart@yrdsb.ca

Semester Two Exams

Semester Two Exams are from June 17 to June 23, 2026. We encourage students to review the schedule and speak to their teacher if they have any questions or concerns. Exam Review Day is on June 24 in the morning. This is an excellent opportunity for students to meet their teachers to receive feedback on their Sem 2 courses. The schedule for this modified school day is as follows:

June 24 Modified School Day

Period 1 - 9:25 to 10:00 am

Period 2 - 10:05 to 10:42 am

Period 3 - 10:47 to 11:24 am

Period 4 - 11:29 am to 12:06 pm

It is important for students to prepare for their exams in a way that supports their mental health. Getting a good night’s rest, eating well balanced meals and studying in chunks are just a few ways of reducing stress before exams. Students can also pick up SDHS Exam Study Tips at a Glance in the main office for more tips.
