Spring Concert 2026

Join the SDHS Music Department for our Spring Concert on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Large Gym. Staff, families and community members are all welcome to join us for a wonderful evening of music and treats as we celebrate our students' talents and passion for music! We hope you can join us for what is sure to be a stellar performance!

Guidance updates

Graduation June 24, 2026

Cap and gowns are here and ready to be picked up.  If you haven’t paid the graduation fees of $35 yet, please do so prior to picking up the gown.  Payment can be made via cash online or in cash at the main office.

Community service hours  

For all potential graduates who haven’t yet completed / submitted their community service hours, please do so as soon as possible. If you are looking for community hour opportunities, please come to the Guidance office. 

YRDSB Summer school courses

Summer school information has been out for a while now.  Students interested in taking a summer school course should come to guidance and discuss options.  Be mindful that several courses are already waitlisted. 

Summer school dual credit courses.  Dual credit courses are being offered again.  Interested students should come to guidance as soon as possible to discuss options.  Please note that these are only offered to gr 11 and 12 students.

Student Academic Success Room (337)

The Student Success Room (Room 337) will be open to students during designated days/hours. This room will serve as an alternative, quiet workspace where students can seek academic support from our dedicated team of educators.

We believe that a collaborative effort between students, parents, educators, and support staff is essential for a student's overall success. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to learn more about the Student Success Team and our academic support services, please do not hesitate to contact us.
